NY Jet Escapes Jail For Reckless Driving: In July of 2015 Sheldon Richardson, an immensely talented Defensive Back for the New York Jets was arrested for driving over 140 miles per hour.  Richardson was also charged with running a red light, resisting arrest and evading police. Richardson was not charged for child endangerment for the 12 year old who was in the Bentley.  In January, 2016 Richardson entered a guilty plea to resisting arrest, evading law enforcement and evading law enforcement.  The Court found facts sufficient to convict on those charges and then deferred the cases to be dismissed upon the successful completion of certain conditions.  Those conditions are 100 hours of community service, two years of probation and good behavior.  This is an amazing disposition for someone driving 143 miles per hour with a child in the car while being chased by police.  Richardson has pledged to turn his life around, stating “I was negative in the community. . . I’s gonna change.”  #NYJetEscapesJailForRecklessDriving

NY Jet Escapes Jail For Reckless Driving:  Richardson has always been an incredible athlete.  He was a star in football, track, baseball and basketball at his Missouri High School.  He was a high school All American in football as a defensive end.  In college at the University of Missouri, Richardson was also a star in the two years he attended that school.  Richardson set a Southern Conference record with 75 tackles in his last year.  Even in college, however, Richardson had problems following the rules.  After being suspended for rules violations at the University, Richardson declared for the 2013 NFL Draft.  The New York Jets took him in the first round as a defensive end.  Over the next couple of years Richardson was a standout defensive end.  Richardson has such strength and speed that the Jets sometimes play him at fullback.  In that role, Richardson has scored two touchdowns — once against the Green Bay Packers and once against the Carolina Panthers.

Harrisonburg Reckless Driving Lawyer: Conrad Hilton has just been charged for his August, 2014 race with law enforcement in the California desert.  Conrad Hilton, younger brother of Paris Hilton has had a somewhat lawless young adult period.  According to Riverside County prosecutors, Conrad Hilton initially attracted police attention by driving approximately 90 miles per hour.  When the police attempted to stop him Conrad accelerated to at least 100 miles per hour and began recklessly passing other vehicles.  Conrad also passed on the right shoulder at times.  Conrad finally glanced off a tractor trailer crashing his BMW sports car.  Conrad broke his hand in the crash but no one else was injured.

Harrisonburg Reckless Driving Lawyer:  Conrad was very foolish to run from the police.  Running from the police at a high rate of speed is a felony in most jurisdictions.  Apparently Conrad is now facing up to 3 years in prison.  Conrad had very little chance of escaping law enforcement.  Even if Conrad had a faster vehicle and even if Conrad was a better driver, Conrad could not outrun the police radio.  Modern law enforcement merely keeps the runner in sight while calling ahead for a roadblock or the placement of spikes to puncture the suspect’s tires.  Many police forces have access to airplanes or helicopters so even if one avoids the roadblocks and the spikes, one cannot outrun an aircraft.

Best Woodstock Traffic Ticket Lawyer: It seems that a lot of celebrities found legal trouble at the 49th Super Bowl in Arizona.  Among those finding themselves in legal trouble is former child star, Marcus T. Paulk.  Paulk, now 28 years of age, was apparently in Arizona to watch the 49th Super Bowl.  On February 1, 2015, Paulk was stopped by Scottsdale police for not maintaining an adequate distance from an Emergency Vehicle.  Upon approaching Paulk, the Officer smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage.  The Officer then invited Paulk to participate in a DUI Investigation.  Paulk, not realizing that he could legally refuse such participation, attempted the roadside gymnastic testing also referred to as the Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.  Paulk did not realize that no one can pass the gymnastic testing; it is merely a way for police to establish probable cause to arrest people who smell of alcoholic beverages.

Best Woodstock Traffic Ticket Lawyer: Paulk also did not realize that he had no obligation to incriminate himself by admitting to drinking and admitting to smoking marijuana.  Most people do not realize that they are not required to consent to searches of their persons prior to being arrested.  The field tests are a search.  The preliminary breath test is a search.

Best Woodstock Traffic Ticket Lawyer:  Paulk played on Moesha and also made appearances on Fillmore! and The Proud Family.

We developed an App for people to us to learn and/or assert their rights:  Apple App & Android App.  It would have helped Mr. Paulk.
