Ed Oliver plays defensive tackle for the NFL’s Buffalo Bills.

In May, 2020, Oliver was arrested for DWI and carrying a firearm while  under the influence.

Oliver maintained his innocence, but police and the media convicted him in print.

Oliver was stopped because a motorists called and reported he was driving dangerously through a construction site.

Oliver was stopped by police and tricked, cajoled or manipulated into performing the roadside agility tests designed for failure of the participant.

The officer who stopped Oliver called in an expert police officer with high level training, experience and expertise, to determine whether Oliver was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

The officer doing the testing decided that Oliver was under the influence of a drug other than alcohol.

A blood draw was performed and a sample was sent to the state laboratory.

The state laboratory reported no drugs in Oliver’s blood.

Oliver was innocent exactly as he claimed; the officer, with all his training, experience and expertise, was plain wrong.

The officers involved will not be punished for being entirely wrong and putting Ed Oliver’s life into a crash dive.

The Bills were very happy that their player was cleared of the false charge.

Oliver was picked ninth overall in the NFL’s 2019 draft.
